The BAC Masonry College is a licensed and established training institution since 2004.  The College is owned by the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local 1, Newfoundland and Labrador.  The College is located in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland.

 

Our Mission

 

Our mission is to continuously supply the masonry industry with an increased amount of skilled apprentices and certified journeypersons, through entry-level training and upgrading of masonry skills. The College will also strive to offer training, adhering to workplace standards.

 

The College offers a 28-week Entry-Level Bricklayer program and a 13-week Entry-Level Concrete Finisher program with an intake in the spring and fall.  We also offer WHSCC approved safety courses to our members and the general public.

 

The Entry-Level and Advanced Bricklayer together with our Entry-Level Concrete Finisher Program is accredited by the Provincial Apprenticeship and Certification Board of Newfoundland Labrador.  We also offer a specialty programs such as the Refractory Gunnite course, Power Trowel Operation Course and trade qualifier courses for both concrete finisher and bricklayer.
